These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Vacdirect website and to any purchase you make from us. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Vacdirect (NZ) Ltd, trading as Vacdirect. “You” means the person using our website or placing an order.
By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website or place an order.
1. About Us
Vacdirect (NZ) Ltd, trading as Vacdirect, sells vacuum cleaners, floor and carpet cleaners, robotic lawn mowers, accessories and parts. You can buy online or in our stores at Albany, Dunedin, Hamilton, Henderson, Invercargill, New Lynn, Pukekohe and Tauranga. All of our stores are operated by Vacdirect (NZ) Ltd.
2. Your Rights Under New Zealand Law
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other New Zealand law. If these terms conflict with your legal rights, your legal rights apply.
3. Products and Availability
- All orders depend on stock availability. We can’t guarantee that every product on our website is in stock.
- If a product is out of stock, we will contact you. We may offer you a similar product, a later delivery date or a full refund.
- We may stop selling a product at any time.
- Some products are available in store only. These are marked on the product page, and you can’t order them online.
4. Pricing and GST
- All prices are in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and include GST.
- Prices can change at any time. The price that applies to your order is the price shown when you place it.
- Delivery charges are extra unless the product page or checkout says otherwise.
5. Pricing Errors
We take care to price our products correctly. Sometimes a mistake happens. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then choose to buy at the correct price or cancel. If you cancel, we will refund you in full.
6. Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. We may add or remove payment methods from time to time. Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies, and those apply to your payment.
7. Placing an Order
When you place an order, we will send you an email to confirm we have received it. This email is not our final acceptance. We accept your order when we dispatch your products, or when we confirm that your order is ready for pick-up.
We may decline or cancel an order, for example because of stock, pricing errors or payment problems. If we do, we will refund anything you have paid.
8. Pre-Orders, Backorders and Deposits
- Some products are available to pre-order or on backorder. The product page shows the expected delivery date.
- Expected dates are estimates. They can change because of supplier or shipping delays. We will tell you if your date changes.
- For some products, we take a 10% deposit when you pre-order. We will tell you the amount at checkout. The deposit is fully refundable for any reason before your order is dispatched.
- We will tell you when your order is ready, and how to pay the balance and arrange delivery or pick-up.
9. Products Available in Store Only
Some products are available in store only. Stock varies by store, so please contact us to check availability before you visit. We can’t reserve a product unless we confirm it with you in writing.
10. Delivery
- We deliver to addresses throughout New Zealand.
- Delivery costs and times depend on where you are and the delivery method. We show standard delivery charges at checkout.
- Some orders may attract extra charges, for example for oversize goods or rural addresses. We will tell you before we dispatch.
- Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. We aren’t responsible for delays outside our control, but we will keep you informed.
- Please check your order when it arrives. If it’s damaged or incorrect, contact us within 3 days, and we will put it right.
- For more detail, see our Delivery Information page.
11. Returns, Faulty Goods and Refunds
Faulty goods
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act, products must be of acceptable quality, fit for their normal purpose, and match their description. If a product has a fault, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund.
